John Abraham is all set to showcase his patriotic side with his upcoming film Batla House. After experimenting with the genre in recent films such as Romeo Akbar Walter, Satyameva Jayate and Parmanu, the actor is on the verge to bring real life stories on the big screen.

Film Batla House will attempt to unravel the truth behind the 2008 Batla House encounters that took place at Batla House in Delhi's Jamia Nagar.

On September 13, 2008, a series of bomb blasts in Delhi claimed over 26 lives and injured over 133 people. An operation was conducted on September 19 by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police, who raided a flat in Batla House. Two alleged terrorists, Atif Amin and Mohammad Sajid, were shot dead by the police.

However, the encounter was termed as fake. Re-examining the infamous encounter case John will be seen essaying the character of DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, who spearheaded the operation.

Today, the filmmakers have dropped the trailer of the film which is worth to wait this long for it. Have a look at it right here:

Just before the trailer launch, John released two new official posters for the film. 

The trailer has left us curious to know more about the incidents that took place in Batla House. Now this will be interesting to see how John play his role of a top cop, who questions the innocence of the accused "Hum nahi kehte ki woh students nai they. Magar kya woh bekasur they? (We are not claiming they were not students, but were they really innocent?),

The film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar T-Series, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, John Abraham, Sandeep Leyzell. And it will be hitting the theaters on august 15 which will clash with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Mission Mangal’ and Prabhas’s ‘Saaho’.
