Sonam Bajwa, a prominent name in the Punjabi film industry, has garnered widespread acclaim for her exceptional acting prowess. With a diverse portfolio that even includes Tamil films, she has solidified her reputation as a versatile and talented actress. One of her recent endeavors, Gippy Grewal’s “Carry On Jatta 3,” in which she portrayed a leading role alongside a stellar ensemble cast including Gurpreet Ghuggi, Kavita Kaushik, Binnu Dhillon, Nasir Chinyoti, Jaswinder Bhalla, B.N. Sharma, and Karamjit Anmol in supporting roles, has been met with resounding success, part of 100 crore club.

However, amid her growing popularity and countless inquiries from fans, Sonam Bajwa has chosen to address a lingering question: Why has she not made the jump to Bollywood? In a recent interview, she candidly discussed her reasoning, shedding light on her thoughtful approach to her career.

In the face of mounting expectations to venture into the bustling world of Bollywood, Bajwa remains steadfast in her commitment to her Punjabi fans. She acknowledges the immense support and devotion they’ve shown her and feels that the time isn’t right to make the transition. Her priority is to deliver work that she can be proud of, work that reflects positively on the Punjabi film industry and resonates with her loyal followers.

In her own words, she shared, “Offers have been coming my way but it will happen when it’s meant to happen. I don’t want to do things here just because I should. I want to do something very, very nice because I’m also representing the Punjabi film industry. So, I know that my fans expect a lot out of me and I want to do justice to them when I come in as a Punjabi film actor.”

Elaborating on her approach, Bajwa spoke about her interactions with the Hindi film industry. While she has encountered opportunities, she remains selective. Not every film that comes her way aligns with her vision and goals. She aspires to contribute meaningfully to her craft, regardless of whether she works in Punjabi, Hindi, or South Indian films.

She explained, “I’ve met people here but sometimes, the films they brought to me didn’t work out because of dates. At other times, I felt it wasn’t the right film to make my Bollywood debut with. I’m an actor who wants to do really good work and roles whether that’s coming from the Hindi, the Punjabi, or the South film industry.”

Despite the allure of the Bollywood spotlight, Sonam Bajwa remains committed to making choices that align with her values and aspirations as an actor. Her recent successes, including the hits “Godday Godday Chaa” and “Carry On Jatta 3,” underscore her dedication to her craft. Beyond her professional accomplishments, her social media presence, featuring bold and beautiful images, has cemented her status as a beloved figure not only within the Punjabi film landscape but on a national scale.

In a world that often demands swift decisions and rapid advancement, Sonam Bajwa’s patient and calculated approach serves as a reminder that success is not solely about the destination, but also about the journey and the integrity of the choices made along the way. As her career continues to evolve, her fans can undoubtedly expect her to stay true to herself and her craft, remaining a shining example of dedication and authenticity in the entertainment industry.
