Indian Railways Unveils Ambitious Plans for Seamless Travel Experience by 2027

In a groundbreaking initiative, Indian Railways has announced a visionary expansion plan aimed at eradicating waiting lists by 2027, ensuring every passenger secures confirmed tickets. The strategy involves a substantial increase in daily trains, targeting a rise from 10,748 to 13,000, with 3,000 new trains set to roll out within the next 3-4 years.

To accommodate the estimated 800 crore passengers traveling annually, the railway network plans to enhance capacity to cater to 1,000 crore passengers. Additionally, the focus remains on reducing travel time by employing innovative measures. Efforts to augment track networks by 4,000-5,000 kilometers yearly, alongside optimizing acceleration and deceleration, aim to significantly cut travel durations.

Implementation of the push-pull technique in manufacturing around 225 trains annually stands as a testament to these efforts, enabling enhanced speed and efficiency.

Indian Railways commits to revolutionizing travel, prioritizing seamless experiences while tackling overcrowding during peak seasons.
