Tragic Incident in Lucknow: 10-Year-Old Skater Fatally Hit by SUV

In a heart-wrenching event, Namish, the 10-year-old son of Additional Superintendent of Police Shweta Shrivastava, lost his life in a devastating accident while practising skating near a park in Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar Extension area. Namish was struck by a speeding white SUV, which fled the scene, leaving him critically injured. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries.

A swift response from the authorities led to the arrest of two individuals, Sarthak Singh and Devshri Verma, after diligent analysis of CCTV footage from the vicinity, aiding in the tracing of the vehicle involved.

The police, deploying five specialized teams, continue their investigation to identify the driver responsible for this tragic incident. Shweta Shrivastava, previously stationed at Gomti Nagar police station, currently serves with a special investigation team as an additional superintendent of police.
