Bihar Man Allegedly Killed by In-Laws Over Dispute on Wife’s Instagram Reels
In a tragic incident in Bihar’s Begusarai, Maheshwar Kumar Rai, a 25-year-old man, was allegedly killed following a dispute with his wife, Rani Kumari, over her obsession with creating Instagram reels on viral songs. Rai, who recently returned home from Kolkata where he worked as a laborer, objected to his wife’s preoccupation with making reels, leading to a heated argument.
Late last night, Rai visited his in-laws’ residence in Fafaut village, prompting a phone argument between him and his brother, Rudal. Disturbed by the call, Rudal contacted the family, who rushed to the in-laws’ house only to discover Rai’s lifeless body. The victim’s father alleged that Rai was hanged to death, attributing the act to his objections against the Instagram reels.
The accused, believed to be the wife’s family members, were conspicuously absent from the scene upon the family’s arrival. Additionally, the family claimed witnessing four individuals attempting to dispose of Rai’s body under the guise of transferring him to a hospital.
The police were immediately notified, and Rai’s body was sent for a post-mortem examination. An ongoing investigation seeks to unravel the circumstances surrounding Rai’s tragic demise, shedding light on the disturbing clash involving social media fixation and fatal consequences.
