“The fear of the BJP vanished after the election results,” Gandhi stated, noting that the election marked a pivotal moment for the Indian people. According to Gandhi, the outcome was not just a victory for the Congress party, but a significant reflection of the people’s will to uphold the Constitution and democratic values. “We are not going to accept an attack on our religion, on our state,” he asserted.

Gandhi also highlighted the ideological differences between the Congress party and the BJP’s parent organization, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). “The RSS believes that India is one idea, while we believe India is a multiplicity of ideas,” he said, stressing the importance of inclusion across caste, religion, language, and tradition.
