Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a special visit to the Indian Air Force Station in Adampur early Tuesday morning, where he was briefed by Air Force personnel and spent time interacting with the jawans. The visit, described by the Prime Minister as a “very special experience,” highlighted India’s deep appreciation for its armed forces amid heightened national security concerns.

Adampur is one of the four key IAF bases—along with Udhampur, Pathankot, and Bhuj—that experienced limited damage during recent escalations with Pakistan. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Air Force Chief, Air Chief Marshal A P Singh, and departed from Delhi’s Palam Air Base at 7 am.

During his hour-long visit, PM Modi met with MiG-29 fighter pilots and technical staff involved in frontline operations. He expressed admiration for their courage and professionalism, reaffirming the nation’s gratitude for their relentless service.

Sharing images on social media, PM Modi said, “It was a very special experience to be with those who epitomise courage, determination, and fearlessness. India is eternally grateful to our armed forces for everything they do for our nation.”

This visit comes days after India launched Operation Sindoor in response to cross-border terror attacks. The Prime Minister’s engagement with the troops underlines the government’s commitment to the morale and readiness of its armed forces during critical times.
