Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Commends Indian Navy’s Strategic Role in Operation Sindoor

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited INS Vikrant, India’s first indigenously-built aircraft carrier, currently deployed in the Arabian Sea, to review the outcomes of Operation Sindoor and boost the morale of naval personnel. The visit comes weeks after the Indian Navy’s Carrier Battle Group, led by INS Vikrant, played a pivotal role in the operation that pressured Pakistan into a ceasefire.

During his visit, Singh praised the Navy’s exemplary role in the integrated military operation, highlighting its unmatched maritime domain awareness and supremacy. He emphasized that the strong Indian naval presence confined the Pakistani Navy to its own shores, preventing them from venturing into the open sea.

“Our attack was so strong that Pakistan started pleading to the world to stop India. We stopped our military actions on our own terms. The role of the Navy in this entire integrated operation has been glorious,” Singh said. He also acknowledged the Indian Air Force’s successful destruction of terror bases on Pakistani soil as part of the operation.

The Defence Minister remarked that the Indian Navy’s preparedness alone was enough to intimidate Pakistan, showcasing India’s superior maritime capabilities. His interaction with the naval officers aboard INS Vikrant served to boost confidence within the ranks after the successful mission.

Operation Sindoor stands as a testament to the Indian Armed Forces’ coordinated strength, with the Navy playing a critical role in maintaining national security and regional stability.
