Hina Bayat Exposes Karachi Airport Water Crisis on Yaum-e-Takbeer

In a viral video released on Yaum-e-Takbeer, renowned Pakistani actress Hina Bayat has drawn attention to a stark reality: no water in the washrooms of Karachi International Airport. While the government boasts of development milestones, Bayat’s footage captures a jarring contrast—basic infrastructure collapsing under neglect.

The video, filmed on-site, shows Bayat visibly dismayed by the absence of water in airport facilities on a day meant to celebrate Pakistan’s nuclear achievements. “Why are essential services like water being ignored while new projects are endlessly announced?” she questioned. Her remarks reflect growing public frustration over the government’s misplaced priorities—where photo ops and foreign loans overshadow critical services.

Social media erupted in response. While Pakistani netizens echoed Bayat’s concerns, many Indian users mocked the situation, questioning what Pakistan is truly celebrating. Comments referenced Pakistan’s economic dependence, sarcastically labeling loans as national achievements.

The timing is symbolic. Bayat’s video comes amid rising regional tensions after India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty following a deadly terror attack. Pakistani politician Syed Ali Zafar recently warned of potential famine if the water crisis isn’t addressed, inadvertently acknowledging the country’s vulnerability.

India, in response to ongoing cross-border violence, has vowed to cut off water flow to Pakistan. Prime Minister Modi declared, “Pakistan will not get a single drop of water that belongs to India.”

As the crisis deepens, Hina Bayat’s message rings louder: it’s time to prioritize people over pride.
