PM Modi Hails BrahMos Missile and Operation Sindoor at Kanpur Rally
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a powerful address in Kanpur, highlighted India’s growing defence strength and praised the impact of Operation Sindoor, crediting the BrahMos missile for giving “sleepless nights” to the enemy.
Speaking to a large crowd, PM Modi declared that the operation, which targeted terrorist hideouts deep inside Pakistan, was a turning point in showcasing India’s indigenous military capabilities. “We destroyed terrorist bases hundreds of miles inside enemy territory. It left Pakistan so rattled, they begged for peace,” he said. He issued a stern warning: “The one who was begging during Operation Sindoor must not forget — it is not over yet.”
Emphasising India’s firm stance on national security, PM Modi reiterated three pillars of policy: strong response to terrorism, disregard for nuclear threats, and equal treatment of terrorists and their backers.
Adding a local touch, he said in Kanpur-style: “Dushman kahin bhi ho, haunk diya jayega.” He proudly announced that the BrahMos missile, which played a key role in the operation, now has a new production base in Uttar Pradesh, reinforcing the region’s role in defence manufacturing.
“From AK-203 rifles in Amethi to BrahMos in UP, Make in India is powering our military,” he added.
PM Modi praised the role of India’s daughters in Operation Sindoor and hailed the rising industrial and strategic capabilities of Uttar Pradesh.
