The Korean crime thriller “Yadang: The Snitch” continues its impressive global rollout after a stellar domestic performance. Following its release in Indonesia (April 23) and North America (April 25), distributor Plus M Entertainment has confirmed upcoming releases in Vietnam, Mongolia, Taiwan, Australia, the U.K., and Thailand.
Since premiering in South Korea on April 16, the film has drawn over 3 million viewers, becoming the country’s top-grossing film of 2025. Its gripping narrative, unexpected twists, and standout performances by Kang Ha-neul, Yoo Hae-jin, and Park Hae-joon have earned it high audience ratings — with CGV’s Golden Egg Index reaching 97% and Lotte Cinema scoring 9.4/10.
Set in the dark world of Korea’s drug trade, “Yadang: The Snitch” explores the lives of an informant, a prosecutor, and a detective — each caught in a web of trust and betrayal. Unlike conventional thrillers, the film offers a rare look into the perspective of an informant, adding layers of moral complexity.
International distributors such as Well Go USA, Mockingbird Pictures, and CJ ENM Hong Kong have praised the film’s suspenseful storytelling and regional appeal. Its success has also played a major role in reviving the Korean box office, with April seeing a 129.8% rise in revenue and a 129.6% increase in admissions compared to the previous month.
“Yadang: The Snitch” is proving to be not just a local hit — but a global sensation.
