Netflix Teases Release Date for One Piece Season 2 at TUDUM 2025
The global anticipation for One Piece Season 2 is building, as Netflix prepares to announce the official release date during its TUDUM fan event today. The hit live-action pirate adventure series, based on Eiichiro Oda’s iconic manga, has already completed filming its second season.
Series creator Eiichiro Oda previously hinted that the new season will cover exciting arcs such as Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island — signaling the return of high-stakes adventure and new character introductions.
Netflix and the production team recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo celebrating the wrap of Season 2, further fueling excitement among fans.
One Piece follows the journey of Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), an aspiring pirate king, as he sets sail with his Straw Hat crew — Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji — in search of the legendary treasure “One Piece” left behind by the infamous Gold Roger.
Produced by Tomorrow Studios in partnership with Shueisha and Netflix, Season 2 will see Joe Tracz join Matt Owens as co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer.
Season 1 was a global sensation, becoming the No. 1 title worldwide on Netflix, racking up 37.8 million views in under two weeks. With a 96% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes, it remains one of the highest-rated Netflix originals to date.
