From Bollywood Star to Real-Life Hero! Preity Zinta’s Heartwarming Adoption Story
  • PublishedJune 5, 2025

Bollywood actress and Punjab Kings owner Preity Zinta has always been admired for her talent and kindness. On her 34th birthday, she made a touching decision to adopt 34 orphan girls from the Mother Miracle orphanage in Rishikesh. This act of love reflected her deep concern for underprivileged children, especially girls facing harsh realities like girl foeticide and poor living conditions.

Preity committed to supporting their education, food, and clothing and promised to visit them at least twice a year. She shared how deeply moved she was by their stories and expressed her desire to adopt more children in the future. This humanitarian effort is part of her ongoing dedication to social causes and helping those in need.

In her personal life, Preity married Gene Goodenough in 2016, and the couple joyfully welcomed twins, Jai and Gia, through surrogacy in 2021. She publicly thanked the medical team and surrogate mother for their support in this beautiful journey.

Preity’s life journey hasn’t been easy. She lost her father at 13 in a car accident and her mother at 15, yet she persevered and pursued her passion for acting. She debuted in the film Dil Se alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala and went on to star in popular films like Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Dil Chahta Hai, and Kal Ho Naa Ho. Known as Bollywood’s dimple queen, Preity balances her successful career with her philanthropic work and simple lifestyle.

Her inspiring story is a powerful example of resilience, compassion, and strength.
