Actor Sudhanshu Pandey Condemns Ram Kapoor’s Remarks, Issues Apology to Women on Behalf of TV Industry

Television actor Sudhanshu Pandey has strongly criticized fellow actor Ram Kapoor over his inappropriate comments made during the promotional tour of the web series Mistry. Pandey, in an interview with FilmiBeat, called Kapoor’s behavior a sign of “mansik asthirta” (mental instability) and emphasized the importance of treating women with dignity and respect.

Ram Kapoor has faced severe backlash for making sexually suggestive and offensive remarks directed at media professionals and female crew members. Among them were disturbing analogies, objectifying comments, and inappropriate jokes that have sparked outrage across the industry and audience alike.

In response, streaming platform JioHotstar has reportedly removed Ram Kapoor from all future promotional activities for Mistry, which is currently streaming. Sudhanshu Pandey went a step further by issuing a heartfelt apology to women on behalf of the television industry, stating, “If Ram’s words have hurt any woman, I apologise sincerely as part of this fraternity.”

Kapoor, in a statement to ETimes, admitted to making the remarks but claimed they were never intended to offend. He described himself as a “bindass” personality and expressed regret for the way his comments were received.

The incident has reignited the debate on professionalism and respect in the entertainment industry, especially in public interactions. Many voices are now calling for accountability and better standards of conduct among public figures.
