Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has broken her silence on the horrifying knife attack on her husband Saif Ali Khan earlier this year. In an emotional conversation with journalist Barkha Dutt on Mojo Story, Kareena opened up about the trauma, the healing process, and how the incident impacted their family—especially sons Taimur and Jeh.
Calling Saif an “Iron Man” in the eyes of their children, Kareena revealed that her youngest son still believes his father is a superhero. “My little one still says, ‘My father is Batman and Iron Man. He can take on anyone,’” she shared.
The attack, which took place on January 16 at their Bandra residence, left Saif critically injured and requiring emergency surgery. Kareena confessed she is still coping with the emotional aftermath, especially the chilling thought of an intruder entering their child’s room. “In Mumbai, you never really hear about such incidents. It was very difficult to sleep and feel normal again,” she said.
Despite the pain, Kareena believes the experience has shifted something in their lives. “They’ve seen blood and fear—but it may make them stronger, more aware. They were so sheltered before,” she reflected.
The actress concluded with hope: “I don’t want to live in fear for my children. We are stronger as a unit now.”
The accused, Shehzad, was arrested two days after the incident.
