Trump Denies Link to Epstein ‘Birthday Album’ Amid WSJ Revelations
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has strongly denied authorship of a controversial letter and sketch published in a Wall Street Journal report, allegedly included in Jeffrey Epstein’s 50th birthday “album” curated by Ghislaine Maxwell in 2003.
The WSJ article described a typewritten note bearing Trump’s name, surrounded by a hand-drawn outline of a naked woman. The letter contained a fictional exchange between Trump and Epstein, ending with the message: “Happy Birthday – and may every day be another wonderful secret.” Trump’s signature was allegedly placed near intimate areas of the sketch.
Trump swiftly rejected the claims, calling the letter “fake” and threatening legal action against the WSJ, Rupert Murdoch, and NewsCorp. “This is not me. This is a fake thing. It’s not my language. It’s not my words,” Trump said via Truth Social, claiming both he and press secretary Karoline Leavitt warned the publication beforehand.
The birthday album also reportedly includes messages and poems from figures such as Victoria’s Secret mogul Leslie Wexner and attorney Alan Dershowitz.
Trump’s past ties with Epstein have drawn scrutiny, with the two known to have socialized in the 1990s and early 2000s. However, Trump maintains their friendship ended well before Epstein’s 2006 arrest and claims to have banned him from Mar-a-Lago.
The Justice Department has not confirmed whether the birthday album is part of ongoing investigations.
