Reckless Viral Reel Sparks Police Action in Navi Mumbai
A video of a young woman dancing on the bonnet of a moving Mercedes-Benz in Navi Mumbai’s Kharghar area has gone viral, prompting swift action from local authorities. The viral clip, featuring the popular “Aura Farming” or “Boat Dance,” originally made famous by 11-year-old Indonesian internet sensation Rayyan Arkan Dikha, has raised serious concerns around road safety and legal violations.
In the video, the woman is seen striking poses and dancing on the luxury car’s bonnet while it cruises down a public road. The stunt was reportedly orchestrated for a social media reel. The caption on the video read, “On my way to the 69th heartbreak with the same guy,” lending a dramatic and dangerously lighthearted tone to a reckless act.
Upon investigation, Navi Mumbai Traffic Police found that the driver — the woman’s boyfriend — was operating the vehicle without a valid driving license. Authorities have since detained the driver and are pursuing legal action under charges of dangerous driving and public endangerment.
Navi Mumbai Police have issued a stern warning against such stunts, urging citizens to refrain from life-threatening activities for the sake of social media popularity. “No number of likes is worth risking lives,” said an official.
The incident highlights the growing concern of irresponsible social media behavior, and authorities have reiterated that public roads are not meant for stunts or dangerous performances.
