Parmeet Sethi Opens Up About Marital Struggles, Emotional Healing, and Life Journey
Veteran actor Parmeet Sethi has opened up about the emotional and personal challenges he faced in his marriage with actor-wife Archana Puran Singh, crediting the Art of Living course for helping him find inner peace. In a heartfelt conversation on his son Aryamann Sethi’s YouTube channel, Parmeet candidly recalled the tense period in their relationship marked by frequent arguments and emotional stress.
“We were going through a very bad time as husband and wife—tense and constantly fighting. Archana pushed me to do the Art of Living course. That changed everything,” he shared. The course helped him release long-suppressed grief, including the sorrow of losing his sister. “For the first time, I cried to my heart’s content,” he revealed.
Parmeet also reflected on his childhood in Delhi, growing up in a refugee household after his father migrated from Gujranwala during Partition. Financial hardships led him to sell shirts from his uncle’s factory in Mumbai during college.
Recalling the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, Sethi revealed how his family narrowly escaped a mob attack, protected by an army officer neighbor. The trauma of losing close family members led him to remove his turban, a painful decision that created emotional rifts with his father.
Despite early struggles, Parmeet and Archana, who married in 1992, now share a strong bond with their two sons, Aryamann and Ayushmaan. His story is a powerful testament to resilience, healing, and the strength of family.
