Actor Karishma Sharma, best known for her roles in Ragini MMS Returns and Pyaar Ka Punchnama, sustained serious injuries after jumping from a moving local train in Mumbai. The incident occurred while she was en route to Churchgate for a shoot.
Sharma, who had chosen to travel in a saree, explained via her Instagram story that the train picked up speed as she boarded, leaving her friends behind on the platform. Out of fear, she jumped off, landing on her back and sustaining multiple injuries. “My back is injured, my head is swollen, and there are bruises on my body,” she shared, adding that doctors have recommended an MRI to rule out severe head trauma.
Currently hospitalised and under observation, Sharma reported swelling on her head, back pain, and body bruises. Medical professionals are monitoring her condition closely. She requested fans to pray for her recovery, writing, “I have been in pain since yesterday, but I am staying strong. Please pray for my speedy recovery and send me your love.”
A close friend of the actor expressed shock on social media, revealing that Sharma was found unconscious after the fall and rushed to the hospital.
The incident has raised serious concerns about commuter safety on Mumbai’s busy local train network.
