Scandal Rocks Delhi Ashram: Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati Accused of Molestation

The head of a prominent ashram in Vasant Kunj, Delhi, Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, formerly known as Swami Parthasarathy, is under investigation after multiple women accused him of molestation and harassment. Out of 32 women who came forward, 17 alleged abusive language, obscene messages on WhatsApp and text, and unwanted physical contact. The accused reportedly involved staff members in pressuring women to comply with his demands.

Following the allegations, the Sri Sringeri Math administration removed Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati from his position as director and severed all ties, describing his actions as illegal and inappropriate. The Delhi Police have issued a Look-Out Notice to prevent him from fleeing the country, while raids are ongoing across Bihar, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand to locate him.

During the investigation, complainants’ phones were forensically examined, CCTV footage was reviewed, and several hard disks and video recorders were seized for analysis. Authorities also discovered a Volvo car with a fake UN number plate and other diplomatic plates linked to the accused.

Police investigations continue to uncover the full extent of the Swami’s criminal activities and the roles of accomplices. Law enforcement emphasizes that all leads are being actively pursued, and the public is urged to report any information that may assist in apprehending him.

This case underscores the critical need for vigilance and accountability in institutions of trust and highlights the ongoing commitment of authorities to protect victims and uphold justice.
