Choreographer and digital creator Dhanashree Verma has made shocking revelations about her marriage to cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. Speaking on the reality show Rise and Fall, she claimed that Chahal cheated just two months into their wedding in December 2020. Dhanashree admitted she realized the relationship was troubled in the first year itself, calling it a “mistake.”
The couple, who first connected during online dance sessions in the Covid-19 lockdown, mutually filed for divorce in February 2024, finalizing it a month later. Addressing speculation, Dhanashree clarified there was no alimony involved and urged people not to spread misinformation.
In a podcast for Humans of Bombay, she shared how emotional the separation was despite mental preparedness, recalling that she “started howling” when the verdict was delivered. She has since shifted her focus to personal well-being and her professional journey.
