Kapil Sharma Speaks on Café Shooting Incidents in Canada, Highlights Positive Outcomes
  • PublishedNovember 27, 2025

Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma addressed the recent incidents of firing at his café, Kap’s Café, in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, during the trailer launch of his upcoming film “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2.”

Kap’s Café, which opened in July 2025, experienced three separate shooting incidents on July 10, August 7, and October 16. Fortunately, no one was injured, and no group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Speaking about the incidents, Sharma said, “What I feel is that the rules there and the police perhaps don’t have the power to control such incidents. But when our case happened, it went to the federal government, and there was a discussion in the Canadian Parliament.”

He further added a positive perspective, stating, “In fact, after every firing incident, we got a bigger opening at the café. So it is all okay if God is with me.”

Sharma also revealed that numerous people reached out to him following the attacks, sharing concerns about similar incidents and expressing support. “I believe whatever God does, we don’t get to know the story behind that. After the firing at my café, it became news, and now steps are being taken to improve law and order there,” he said.

Reflecting on his experience in India, the 43-year-old actor-comedian emphasized, “I never felt unsafe in Mumbai or in our country. There is no other city like Mumbai.”

Kapil Sharma’s statements underline not only his personal resilience but also the broader impact of the incidents in prompting authorities to take action and strengthen law enforcement measures in the region.
