2ND JIO FILMFARE AWARDS: A HISTORICAL NIGHT DEDICATED TO CELEBRATING PUNJABI CINEMA IN 2017

After honoring the Best of Bollywood for 62 years The Black Lady - Filmfare Awards made it's debut in the Punjabi Industry last year. On March 23rd, 2018, this annual event came back to Punjab for its second year. It was back with a bigger and better bang. As the who's and who's of Pollywood got together to celebrate the best of Punjabi cinema in the year 2017 the event turned into a historical night. The 2nd Jio Filmfare Awards Kickstarted with a tribute to Bhagat Singh as the day also marks the Martyr Day (Shaheed Diwas) of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. The event was hosted by Neeru Bajwa, Ammy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu, Mandy Takhar and B Jay Randhawa. While B Jay Randhawa gave an energetic start to the event, Ammy Virk and Harrdy Sandhu added a lot of moments filled with laughter. Neeru Bajwa and Mandy Takhar also stole hearts as hosts with their elegance and glamour. The night's highlight obviously were the performances by various stars of Pollywood. Harrdy Sandhu lit up the place with his tireless performance and Ammy Virk equally bound everyone in the spell of his magical singing. They both sang their recent hits. The Queen of Pollywood Neeru Bajwa gave an unforgettable tribute to legendary actress Priti Sapru with her performance. The quartet of Ninja-Payal Rajput and Ranjit Bawa-Mandy Takhar filled the place with romance as they displayed beautiful stories of love. Singers B Jay Randhawa and Rajvir Jawanda also lifted the spirit of the night. The whole film fraternity honored legendary actress Priti Sapru as she was awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award. As for the other big award of the night, Legendary actor, Gugu Gill was awarded the Filmfare Living Legend Award. The whole show was directed and artists were managed by Prinday, one of the leading PR and event management companies in North India. When it comes to PR and event management, Prinday is a top notch name in the industry. From being the organizer of Mirchi Music Awards Punjabi for three consecutive years (2014, 2015 and 2016) it has also hosted multiple editions of Tashan Nites. Prinday's excellence lies in presenting things with a new and creative approach and this event was a definite proof of it.
