5 EASY-ON-POCKET LOOKS INSPIRED BY B-TOWN YOU CAN TRY THIS FESTIVE SEASON

It's raining weddings in B-Town. And the glam world is also gearing up for the festival of lights in full swing. What's caught our fancy is the beautiful and subtle looks some of our favorite divas have donned recently that can be easily copied by us without burning a hole in our precious clutches. Here are a few we liked and would absolutely love to emulate on Diwali festivities to look pretty as a doll:

PRIYANKA CHOPRA (AT HER ROKA CEREMONY)
Sunshine! That's one and only word to describe this ethereal beauty. And that's exactly how you can look, brighter than all those lights and genda phools on Diwali too.

How to get the look: Just buy a canary yellow long kurta in the world famous Lucknowi-chikan embroidery. Team it up with a georgette chunni in the same shade, some ethnic earrings and silver juttis. Add a little sparkling bindi and you are good to go.

ISHA AMBANI (AT A FAMILY GET-TOGETHER WITH HER FUTURE IN-LAWS)
Okay, not so B-Town but still, Isha can own the biggest designer labels in the world. She may be the daughter of the richest man in India but she definitely gives out those girl-next-door vibes. Her easy on eyes and easy to wear orange-yellow suit is like the one you and I may have in our wardrobes but never considered worth for a festive outing. Well, now take a look again.

How to get the look: Simple. Wear the suit with aplomb and accessorize well with jhumkas and bangles. Add a bit of make-up and a welcoming smile.

SOHA ALI KHAN (AT A PRE-DIWALI PARTY WITH HER DAUGHTER)
Pretty Princess. Need we reiterate that title? The Pataudi princess is one the most graceful ladies of Bollywood. And this look is simply gorgeous for all the ladies, newly weds or new mothers (who want to hide that post pregnancy belly).

How to get the look: That's a long kali-wala kurta in brocade. Brocade is easily available in the whole colour pallette of a rainbow. Choose your favorite and just style it minimally with some sweet and simple earrings. And you're the grace of every Diwali party, just like that!

KARISMA KAPOOR (AT AN EVENT)
Our favourite of all those! Sarees are made for Indian ladies. They bring out our beauty like no other outfit. And Karisma Kapoor can rock a saree with perfection.

How to get the look: Take out a saree from your mum's wardrobe from back in the 80s and 90s. Floral's the print of the season. Team it up with a blouse in similar shade and add a stylish belt. Leave a long pallu trail and the praises will definitely trail you.

DEEPIKA PADUKONE (AT HER PRE-WEDDING PUJA)
She is the ultimate queen who can rock a western look and don a desi avatar and look sexy in both. Deepika is a favorite of designers and an inspiration for all who look for easy styling. She wore a simple orange kurta on her pre-wedding Nandi puja and all we could do was look at her utter perfection.

How to get the look: Straight orange kurta with contrast cigarette pants or pajami and an embroidered, printed or zari work dupatta with or without a lace, that's all you need to look like Deepika Padukone. And don't forget those signature big jhumkas.
