Festive season approaches along with the dry winter winds. This is the major reason by people suffers from dry skin or eczema at the wrong time ever. In case you are avoiding the social visits because of the skin dryness and skin issues, here are a few tips for you.

PLENTY OF WATER


Drinking plenty of water helps in hydrating the skin and the body. Make sure to drink at least 2 liters of water regularly. it helps in getting rid of the toxins, therefore, giving you glowing skin.

USE MOISTURISER


During the winter season, the skin can easily get dehydrated. To avoid that, make sure to use moisturizer generously. Avoid washing the face multiple times with soap or a face wash during the day because this might result in dryness.

COLDWATER

This might sound very harsh, but using cold water helps in restoring the natural oils of the body. Using warm water during the winters actually leaves the skin dry because it washes away the natural oils from the skin.

GO NATURAL
Using a lot of makeup products also leaves the skin dry and lifeless. Sop it is better to leave the makeup products aside and go all natural.

EXFOLIATE THE SKIN


We generally forget to remove the dead cells during the winters, especially the dead cells from the hands. So the moisture can’t get in the cells if the hands are covered with dead cells. Search for an exfoliating mask and use it on the face and hands. You can also gently apply it on the lips.

USE OF SUNSCREEN

Winters can be harsh at times and also destroy the skin. So make sure that you apply sunscreen while stepping out into the sun.

MOISTURISE AT NIGHT

Areas like hands, feet, and knees have thin skin which makes them lose moisture very easily. So slathering on a deep moisturizing lotion at night is not a bad idea for protecting the skin from getting dry.

DIY MASKS

Homemade hydrating masks proved the required moisture during the months of winter. Using natural moisturisers like honey, avocado, olive and jojoba oils, banana, aloe helps in retaining the moisture of the skin. Apply the mixture and leave it for 30 minutes for better hydration.
