Punjabi music is no longer limited to Punjab & has no boundaries now. It has become an integral part of the Bollywood movie industry. It will be safe to say that a movie is not complete until and unless it features a Punjabi song. Whether a new song specifically composed for the film or a reprise version of an old hit song with a rap to funk it up. Punjabi singers enjoy a massive fan following not only in Punjab but also all over the country because one can't resist tapping their feet to these catchy phrases and dope music. Punjabi musicians also captivate the imagination of NRI audiences, this is the reason they are the hot favorite of Bollywood producers. Heres a list of Punjabi Singers who are rocking Bollywood!!

1. RDB ( Rhythm, Dhol, Bass)

RDB has played a pivotal role in changing the mindsets regarding Punjabi music. Three brothers were the pioneers of this band who started their journey of music from a Gurudwara Sahib, where they used to sing for the devotees using instruments like Tabla and Harmonium. With the curiosity to do something different they started experimenting and gave hits like Aloo chaat, Shera Di Kaum Punjabi, Rafta Rafta, Singh Is King feat Snoop Dogg, Paisa Paisa, Sadi Gali and many more. In the year 2012, after the demise of one of the brother Kuly Ral only two brothers were left, then Manjh Singh also left the band to pursue his solo career and has hit single like swag mera desi to his credibility and now, the legacy of the band is carried by Surj.

2. Yo Yo Honey Singh

Singh knows how to cater to masses. Maestro of music is popular for lyrics which are catchy and stuck in mind. He has given back to back hits and list of his hit songs is never ending which includes Brown Rang, Desi Kalakar, Blue Eyes, Lungi Dance, Dope Shope, Party ALll Night, Rani Tu Main Raja, and Lonely and many more.

3. Badshah

He collaborated with many stars like Diljit Dosanjh, Gippy Grewal and earlier he was the part of Mafia Mundeer which also included Honey Singh. He's the current darling of Bollywood and his list includes Abhi toh Party Shuru hui hai, Ladki Beautiful kar gayi chull, Saturday Saturday, Dj wale Babu was crazy hit and then came Wakhra Swag which got immensely popular, his other popular track is also with Diljit Dosanjh "Proper Patola" and they are back with "Move Your Lakk". Badshah just dropped his latest single "Mercy", there is no stopping to this talented lad.

3. Mika Singh

It is like a ritual now in the B-world that Singh's song has to be there in a movie. He's a pro in his field and has vocals which are different and gets instant attention this is the reason he has been able to sustain for so long in an industry like Bollywood. In the B-world there comes a new talent every single day but none is able to flinch his position. The singer tasted success with "Something Something" and is a big name in Bollywood as of now. Mika's hit singles' list is never ending but the prominent ones are "Mauja Hi Mauja", Bas Ek King, Ibn-e-Batuta" etc.

4. Gurdas Mann

Gurdas Maan has also lent his voice to Shah Rukh Khan in the movie Veer Zaara for the song ‘Loh aayi Lohri ve’. He is the most notable figure in the world of Punjabi music. Not only this, he has even started his YouTube channel to stay in touch with his fans via Vlogs. Gurdas Maan was recently awarded Living legend award at 1st Filmfare Punjabi Awards. 5. Hans Raj Hans

Hans Raj Hans is also a Sufi singer who is known for Punjabi folk and his Sufi style.

7. Wadali Brothers

They have sung songs in movies like Pinjar, Dhoop, Tanu weds Manu and Mausam! Sufi music is their forte and they are born into the fifth generation of Musicians in their family. The eldest brother is also a Padma Shri awardee. Some of the songs which will never get old are Tu Mane Ya Na Mane, Aa Mil Yaar, Rangrez etc.

8. Diljit Dosanjh

As an actor he made a huge impact in films like "Udta Punjab" and "Phillauri", he also received Best debut award at the 64th Filmfare Awards for his role in the movie Udta Punjab. "Pee Pa Pee Pa" was his first track in Bollywood and his melodic voice in "Ikk Kudi" got him rave views. His recent hits are "Move Your Lakk" with Badshah and we just can't wait for his next move.

9. Master Saleem

Every wedding in Punjab is just incomplete without this song "Dhol Jagiro Da". Saleem is one of the rarest and renowned singers who started his Bollywood journey with the song titled "Mast Kalandar" and then there was no looking back for this talented artist. The illustrious list of his tracks includes "Tashan Mein"," Maa Da Ladla"," Aahun Aahun", and "Humka Peeni Hai" etc. Saleem is one of the Punjabi singers who has sung for numerous Bollywood films. And then there are many of his classic tracks which are used in Bollywood songs, in original or sometimes their reprise version. Some of them are Kala Chashma, Angreji Beat te, Saturday Saturday, Tenu Samjhawa Ki, High heels etc. This is how these nine singers have made Punjabi community proud. If the budding singers also show the same charisma as these amazing singers they can lead Punjabi language not only to be favorite among the B-world but also may be to Hollywood someday.
