Air India Express Launches Daily Direct Flight from Bengaluru to Kathmandu Starting June 1

Air India Express has announced the launch of a new daily direct flight between Bengaluru and Kathmandu, set to commence from June 1, 2025. This new route marks the airline’s continued expansion into short-haul international leisure destinations, following recent launches to Bangkok and Phuket.

The non-stop flight will depart Bengaluru at 5:05 AM and return from Kathmandu at 9:05 AM daily. Bookings are now open through the airline’s official website and leading travel platforms. Inaugural fares start at ₹8,000 for Xpress Lite and ₹8,500 for Xpress Value.

“This new route strengthens our growing network of leisure-focused international flights and enhances accessibility to Nepal, a popular travel and cultural destination,” said Aloke Singh, Managing Director of Air India Express.

In addition to serving direct passengers, the route offers seamless one-stop connectivity to Kathmandu via Bengaluru from 20 Indian cities, including Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Pune, Srinagar, and Visakhapatnam. The airline also provides convenient connections to Kathmandu via Bengaluru from international cities such as Abu Dhabi and Dammam.

Air India Express currently operates more than 450 weekly flights from Bengaluru, with direct connections to 31 domestic and international destinations.

This new route further reinforces Bengaluru’s position as a key hub in the airline’s expanding network and aims to boost tourism and business ties between India and Nepal.
