Kareena Kapoor Shares Heartfelt Moment as Parents Babita and Randhir Kapoor Reunite
Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan has shared a deeply personal and emotional update — her parents, veteran actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita, have reunited after decades of living apart. In a recent interview with Mojo Story, Kareena revealed that her parents have chosen to spend their old age together, marking what she called a “full-circle” moment for herself and sister Karisma Kapoor.
“Now, they’ve decided to spend their old age holding hands because that’s where their journey started,” Kareena shared, describing the reunion as a form of divine intervention. Despite separating in 1988 due to differences, particularly around Babita’s career choices, the couple never legally divorced and maintained mutual respect over the years. They continued to appear together at family events, always upholding a cordial bond.
Reflecting on her upbringing, Kareena acknowledged her mother’s role as a primary caregiver and her father’s unwavering support for her dreams. “Both of them have been wonderful in their own ways,” she added, crediting Babita for guiding Karisma’s path as the first Kapoor woman to enter the film industry.
Randhir and Babita’s story began on the sets of Kal Aaj Aur Kal and eventually faced challenges after marriage. Today, their reunion stands as a touching reminder of love, respect, and healing within families.
On the work front, Kareena will next be seen in Meghna Gulzar’s Daayra, co-starring Prithviraj Sukumaran.
