Udita Goswami’s Emotional Tribute to Mohit Suri: “A Star-Maker Who Doesn’t Need Stars to Shine”
As Mohit Suri’s latest directorial, Saiyaara, continues its winning streak at the box office, earning over ₹132 crore since its July 18 release, the filmmaker received a heartfelt tribute from his wife, actor Udita Goswami.
Taking to Instagram, Udita shared an emotional note celebrating Suri’s unwavering dedication and calling him a “star-maker who doesn’t need stars to shine.” She also shared personal family moments, shedding light on their quiet, often humorous home life.
In the note, Udita wrote, “I usually give reminders — ‘Turn off the lights,’ ‘Hang your wet towel,’ or ‘Stop playing games on your phone.’ But today, I want to acknowledge your brilliance. You’ve always said you only know how to make movies. Well, that, you definitely do.”
She spoke candidly about his journey, marked by sleepless nights, insecurities, and years of silent perseverance. “You wanted our kids to see your highs — and now, they can. You haven’t just reached that point, you’ve surpassed it.”
Saiyaara stars debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda in a story of love, ambition, and redemption. Produced by YRF’s Akshaye Widhani, the film has received widespread acclaim for its emotional depth and fresh performances.
Mohit and Udita, who began dating during Zeher (2005) and married in 2013, now share two children. Her tribute beautifully encapsulates the blend of personal pride and professional admiration — celebrating not just a filmmaker’s success, but a family’s shared dream.
