Delhi CM Rekha Gupta and Cabinet Ministers Pay Obeisance at Golden Temple
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, along with her Cabinet ministers, visited Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) today to pay obeisance and offer shukrana (thanks) for the successful organisation of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th martyrdom anniversary programme held at the Red Fort in Delhi.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Ministers Parvesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Kapil Mishra, Ravindra Indraj, and Manjinder Singh Sirsa. The delegation offered prayers and expressed gratitude, attributing the unprecedented success of the Gurmat Samagam to the grace and blessings of Guru Sahib.
CM Rekha Gupta reiterated that despite the tense atmosphere caused by a terror incident a day before the three-day event in November, the commemorations concluded peacefully. She noted that over six lakh devotees attended the religious programmes without any disruption.
Following their visit to the Golden Temple, the Chief Minister and her Cabinet members are also scheduled to pay obeisance at Durgiana Temple and Shri Valmiki Tirath Sthal in Amritsar.
Upon their arrival at the Shri Guru Ramdas International Airport, the delegation was accorded a warm welcome by local BJP leaders led by district president Harvinder Singh Sandhu.
