Tom Hanks' Oscar-winning movie, Forrest Gump is being official getting a Hindi remake which has been named 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. Aamir Khan will be seen donning Hanks' hat in the movie while Kareena Kapoor Khan will also be playing the lead which is slotted for Christmas 2020 release.
Makers of the Aamir Khan's much-anticipated movie titled 'Laal Singh Chaddha' released the first poster of the movie on Monday morning. In the poster, an amused looking Aamir is seen sitting in a train in a proper long beard, light pink turban and a check shirt; a true Sardarji look.
A couple of days back, pictures from 'Laal Singh Chaddha' set were leaked in which Aamir was seen in almost the same attire and getup as he is shown in the poster. Currently, it's being shot around Chandigarh & Kareena Kapoor Khan is also here for the shoot as she was seen at the airport along with Taimur Ali Khan.
The film is being directed by Advait Chandan who made his directorial debut with Secret Superstar which starred Zaira Wasim apart Aamir Khan. Atul Kulkarni has adapted the Indian version of the movie while it's being jointly produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao and Viacom18 Studios. It will be released under the official label of Aamir Khan Productions.
First, Forrest Gump and now, Laal Singh Chaddha will be based on the 1986 novel by Winston Groom, however, the latter was substantially different from the novel and it'll be interesting to see if we see same with Aamir's movie as well.
