There are artists in the industry who are following their father’s footsteps and carrying on the legacy forward. But there are artists in the industry who, despite having a father in the entertainment sector, go on and make their own identity and legacy. One such artist who chose to find his own path for himself is Aarya Babbar.
Recently, the actor announced his forthcoming project, titled ‘Gandhi Phir Aa Gya’. The captain of the ship is Kinder Singh and will star model-turned-actor Neha Malik opposite Aarya Babbar. Veer Sahu and Tinu Verma will also be seen playing prominent roles in the film and from the looks of it, it is going to be an action-drama. The film is being produced by Kapil Batra and Manju Gautam.
Neha Malik got recognition after she featured in Maninder Buttar’s striking song, ‘Sakhiyaan’. Later she also featured in Gurnazar’s ‘I Promise’, Jugraj Sandhu’s ‘Mere Wali Sardarni’ and Paras Chabra’s ‘Atm Di Machine’.
Other than this film opposite Aarya Babbar, she will also be seen in Inder Sohi’s ‘Musafir’. The director also happens to be a writer and even the DOP of the film.
Talking about Aarya Babbar, despite being a Punjabi, he did not limit his talent of acting to the Punjabi entertainment industry. He has worked in the Bollywood industry and also in the Bengali film industry. Commenced his career with Raj Kanwar’s ‘Ab Ke Baras’, he went on making a firm place for himself in the world of fame with a critically-acclaimed role in Mani Ratnam's Guru.
Previously, he worked in films like ‘Yaar Anmulle’, ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’, ‘Ready’, ‘Tees Maar Khan’, ‘Joker’. He has also proved his mettle of acting in Bengali film titled ‘Paapi’, and the film was released in 2012.
In 2018, the elder son of the veteran actor Raj Babbar stepped in the field of direction with a short film, ‘Shunya’.
We wish Aarya Babbar all the best for this new film and may it gets lauded by the masses far and wide.
