Aarya Babbar is one of few actors who has acted in Punjabi as well as in Hindi and Bengali cinema. He is best known for his film 'Yaar Anmulle'. Movie did great at the box office and became the biggest hit of Punjabi cinema. The movie was about three friends living in a hostel and how they bunk classes or playing pranks on students. As per reports, the actor is currently pursuing a filmmaking course from New York Film Academy and is all set to direct his first film 'Shunya'. Shunya will be a short film focusing on communal riots. The film will feature Yashpal Sharma in a leading role. Talking about this project Yashpal said;
"I went through the script just once and that moment I was blown away and immediately said yes. The story is outstanding and the way Aarya has tried to pass the message is brilliant. Being a short film, he covered all the points so beautifully, and the way he has framed it is something I got very inclined to,"
He further added that he has found a challenging character after a long time and being a lead character i was willing to go completely into it. The story, the message and the screenplay everything was so strong. I'm glad to be a part of this short film.This will also be Aarya's final graduation film for the New York Film Academy. The shoot of the film will start from Saturday on the outskirts of Mumbai.
