To stir up the eagerness to watch a movie, filmmakers employ various strategies. One of which is the revealing of the cast. To this end, the filmmakers of the upcoming film 'Simmba' earlier announced that Sara Ali Khan will be seen opposite the ace actor Ranveer Singh. And once again, a new cast has been made known. Actor R Madhavan will be seen in 'Simmba' as a villain. But before R. Madhavan was approached by Rohit Shetty, the reports have it that Abhishek Bachchan was his first choice. However, Junior Bachchan turned down the offer which has come as a shock to Rohit and filmmaker Karan Johar. Junior Bachchan who shares a very close relationship with director Rohit Shetty dates back to 2012. The duo worked together on the comedy film 'Bol Bachchan' which was a success. And while Rohit thought it would be good for Abhishek to act as a baddie in 'Simmba', Abhishek thought otherwise. Abhishek Bachchan Although the reason he rejected the position is not known, Abhishek Bachchan has got some movies lined up in his kitty. He will be seen in Manmarziyan helmed by Anurag Kashyap after which he will also be seen in Housefull 4. Sara Ali Khan Meanwhile, the lead actress for the film Sara Ali Khan has reportedly got her debut film 'Kedarnath' put on hold by director Abhishek Kapoor. With 'Simmba' to release on the 28th of December 2018, the big question is, will Rohit Shetty or Abhishek Kapoor launch Sara Ali Khan?
