After actor, filmmaker Arbaaz Khan, and producer Parag Sanghvi, bookie Sonu Jalan has named director Sajid Khan for allegedly betting in Indian Premier League (IPL) matches. Though the bookie had also informed that past seven he has zero business with Sajid, still the inspection team had stated that if needed Sajid will be interrogated. The Thane police wing is currently investigating bookie's claim and is yet to take a decision on summoning Sajid, a source told a leading daily. Jalan is known for running Dawood Ibrahim's betting business in Mumbai and is being questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Gujrat's Ahmedabad at present. The Anti-Extortion Cell of Thane police has already summoned film producer Parag Sanghvi, along with another person named Sameer Buddha in connection with the IPL betting racket. A fresh case of extortion has also been registered against Jalan and gangster Ravi Pujari. Arbaaz Khan, brother of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, has already confessed placing bets last year and losing Rs. 2.80 crore. The 50 years old said he will continue to co-operate with the police in this investigation.
