AFTER 'MANTO' NAWAZ IS ALL SET TO WORK IN ANOTHER BIOPIC

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is a true artist when it comes to his craft. After doing a biopic on Pakistani writer 'Saadat Hassan Manto' now the actor is all set for another biopic. The biopic is based on former Shivsena supremo 'Balasaheb Thackeray'. He was the one who started the Maratha Revolutionary in Mumbai. Founder of Shivsena, Balasaheb Thackeray started his career as a cartoonist with an English daily 'Free Press Journal' but soon he left that job and started his own political journal. Thackeray formed the 'Shivsena' for the protection of Marathi people in Mumbai. He also faced a six-year ban from election commission of India for seeking votes in the name of religion. After this, he lost his right to vote for next six years. He went to jail many times but never faced any legal action against him. Although he was heading the Shivsena, he never contested in any election. After his death, he was honored with the state funeral. As shown in the picture Nawazuddin Siddique is sitting on a chair all dressed as the late leader Balasaheb Thackeray. Nawaz was wearing a white kurta-pyjama and a rudraksha string on his wrist which was accompanied by a saffron shawl. This was the trademark of former leader Balasaheb Thackeray. I will play Thackeray with the same honesty with which I have sought to play Manto". Directed by Abhijit Panse, the film will be shot in Hindi, Marathi and will be dubbed in English. The first teaser of this film was launched in December last year. Now we can only wait what magic Nawaz is going to create with this biopic. For more freshly brewed content keep reading gabruu.com
