AISHWARYA AND ABHISHEK COME TOGETHER FOR 'GULAB JAMUN'

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan are getting together for a film after a long gap of eight years, and the director whi will be directing them is none other than the famous Anurag Kashyap. The film is titled 'Gulab Jamun' and the beauty confirmed this news. The fanney Khan actress considers herself and her hubby Abhishek apt for the film. She said, "We had agreed on the idea then. However, it was around the same time that AB decided to take time-out. After the hiatus, he returned with Manmarziyaan, which coincidentally is directed by Anurag Kashyap. That's when the chatter around Gulab Jamun began again, and we finally came on board. It is a beautiful script, and we fit the narrative perfectly." Since the actors did not have any dates for the movie, so they were mum about the same. But after Abhishek got over with the shoot schedule of Manmarziyan, they gave it a thought and then the couple signed the film. Aish told in an interview that it was the content of the film that convinced them to take up the film. She added that when a real life couple signs for a project, it should be convincing and exciting else it makes no sense at all. She emphasised both of them have different perspectives when they look at a project and give it a 'yes' only if it excites both of them. She said "We have got many scripts, and at times, we got tempted too. But then, we discuss it out loud. We take stock and say, 'Does it excite us?' Why should marriage define our choices? Shouldn't we be actually approaching the story as individual actors?" Previously, the duo was seen together in films like Guru, Dhoom 2, Umrao Jaan, Sarkar Raj and Kuchh Naa Kaho. Abhishek and Aishwarya got married in 2007 and have a daughter, Aaradhya, from their marriage. Talking about the professional life, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is all set for her upcoming flick titled, 'Fanney Khan' to hit the theatres in which she will be playing the role of a singer. She was last seen in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil along with Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
