Akshay Kumar, who is all geared up for his Independence Day release Mission Mangal has got one more reason to celebrate as the actor has made it to the list of highest paid actors in Forbes. The list has also many other names such as Jackie Chan, Robert Downie Jr. and Taylor Swift to name a few.
What’s more surprising in this list is that Bollywood Biggies such as Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan are nowhere in the list.
Akshay stands tall at #33rd spot, beating celebrities like Rihanna, Kevin Hart, Jackie Chan, Bradley Cooper, Scarlett Johansson and many others. This definitely comes as good news for the actor, who has been doing one movie after the other without any breaks.
Standing tall at $65 million, the 51-year-old actor has managed to beat some really big names. In fact, Akshay got beaten by Iron Man Robert Downey Jr. by just $1 million as the Avengers actor earned $66 million.
The list is dominated by Taylor Swift who at the age of 29 is earning a whopping $185 million. The pop singer is followed by Kylie Jenner, who stands at $170 million. Meanwhile, Kanye West, Lionel Messi and Ed Sheeran take up the third, fourth and fifth spot respectively. The seventh spot has been grabbed by the young Brazillian Footballer Neymar Jr.
Among the top 10 highest-paid entertainers, Taylor Swift and Kylie Jenner are the only two women who have managed to reach this milestone. It is pretty cool as they directly went for the top spots.
Forbes compiled its 2019 list by estimating pre-tax earnings from June 2018-June 2019, before deducting fees for managers, based on data from Nielsen, touring trade publication Pollstar, movie database IMDB and interviews with industry experts and many of the celebrities themselves. The magazine said the world’s 100 highest-paid celebrities pulled in $6.3 billion pretax over the past 12 months.
The actor is next to be seen in Mission Mangal which also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan and Sharman Joshi to name a few. Apart from this, the actor will bid goodbye to 2019 with Karan Johar’s ‘Good News’.
