ALIA BHATT APPROACHED FOR YET ANOTHER DHARMA MOVIE

After winning millions of hearts with her spectacular performance in the film Raazi last year, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is all set to rule 2019. Alia not only has multiple movie projects lined up for release this year, but she is also being roped in for several other projects.

A recent report has suggested that the actress has been approached to play the lead in the much-awaited Dostana sequel. Last year, it was reported that filmmaker Karan Johar is interested in a sequel to this 2008 rom-com, which starred John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles. Now in a fresh update, Karan has given a green signal to the sequel of it.

Talking about Alia, who will be seen in Karan's upcoming movies Kalank, Takht and Brahmastra have liked the idea. The conversation has begun and if the reports are believed to be true then Alia will hear the final script and close the formalities soon.

A source close to the film told;

"Casting for her two male co-stars is presently underway after which Karan will make the final announcement. Preproduction on the film has also begun.”

Meanwhile, Dostana was directed by Tarun Mansukhani and was woven around the life of two men (Abhishek and John) who pretend to be homosexual to share an apartment with a girl (Priyanka) and eventually fall in love with her.

Recently, Karan was in the Swiss town of Davos for the annual World Economic Forum event where he shared his desire to be working on a film which is based on LGBT community.

Apart from this, Alia is all geared up for the release of her next film Gully Boy. Helmed by Zoya Akhtar, the musical drama stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role and is loosely based on the life of rappers Divine and Naezy.

Alia will also be seen in Mahesh Bhatt’s directorial comeback, Sadak 2. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur in the leads.
