https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pqRgBZBv4A The one and only 'Jatt Tinka' actor has a rich experience theater, Harish Verma paved his way into acting with his debut Punjabi film, "Panjaban" which got released in 2010. The actor rose to fame and became a household name with the 2011 movie 'Yaar Annmulle'. He not only succeeded in acting but also earned a name as a singer. And now the actor-singer is all geared up for his upcoming multi-starrer flick 'Subedar Joginder Singh' in which he is playing a pivotal role of Haripal Kaushik. Kaushik was an Indian field hockey player, military officer and television commentator. The legend is not with us anymore, Kaushik left for his heavenly adobe on January 25 this year, just months before he could have refreshed up an anecdote from his life on the 70 mm screen. Let's take a closer look at who Haripal Kaushik is?   Commissioned into the Indian Army in 1959, Kaushik served in the 1st Battalion of the Sikh Regiment. In the early days of the 1962 Sino-Indian War, Kaushik was commanding the forward company at the Battle of Bumla along the border between India and China when the Chinese People's Liberation Army invaded on 23 October. During heavy combat with much larger enemy forces, he led a successful retreat, saving the unit's heavy machine guns and mortars. Kaushik was awarded the Vir Chakra for "exemplary courage and self-disregard" on the battlefield. Later he rose to the rank of lieutenant-colonel. Before Kaushik's demise when Harish Verma had a chance of face to face conversation with Haripal Kaushik, in order to preparations for Subedar Joginder Singh this is what Harish quoted to a local web portal:

Haripal ji is a great man; he has done so much for the country and I am very proud to play his part in the movie. But at the same time, it was tough for me. I wanted to give more than my 100 percent. I have already worked with Director Simerjit Singh in 'Daddy Cool Munde Fool', as a matter of fact, he was the one who selected me for this role.
Now that we have shot the film, I am elated that I have completed my part. When I saw my performance while dubbing, I was pretty sure that this is the toughest role I have done to date and I couldn’t have done it better.
Subedar Joginder Singh is one of the most talked about Punjabi movies of 2018 that will make it to the theaters on April 6, this year. The movie is based on the real-life story of Param Veer Chakra awardee Subedar Joginder Singh. He was known for his utter bravery during the 1962 Indo-Chinese war. PVC Singh laid his life fighting for the motherland for which the lead is being played by prominent  Pollywood actor-singer Gippy Grewal.
