Manmohan Waris is one of the finest singers in Punjabi music industry. A couple of months back, he released his track ‘Rani Sundran’ which was a recreation of an old song. Now, he is back with another venture which is a documentary feature based on Punjab’s water crisis.

Recently, the singer took to his Instagram where he shared the first official poster for his next song from the upcoming documentary feature which is titled as ‘The Pain Of Water’. This documentary feature is presented by G Media Group in collaboration with Planet One Foundation and Gursarab Productions. Apart from Manmohan Waris, the song has vocals done by Kamal Heer. 

The song poster has the two singers standing close to the river all dressed in Kurta Pyjamas. 
Lyrics of this upcoming song are penned down by Mangal Hathur while Sangtar has given his music to the song. The full song will be out on 7th of this month. 

Last month, a video was shared on G Media Group’s YouTube channel where many of the top personalities from Punjab spoke their heart out on this issue. To name a few, we had the leader of opposition in Punjab Vidhansabha Sukhpal Singh Khaira, Kanwar Sandhu-Senior journalist and AAP MLA, Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal- a River Conservationist, Dr. M S Saini (retired) Professor- Department of Zoology Punjabi University, Patiala,  Pargat Singh, MLA Congress. 

Water crisis has been a talk of the town not just in India but across the globe. In Punjab, there are approximately 1.6 million tube wells which require 1150 crore units of electricity. Thermal plants need  4 crores 38 lakh tonnes of coal every year to run thermal plants. For ecological balance, 33% of land should be under forest cover but it is less than 3%.
