The actor was born on 11th October 1942 to Awadhi poet, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, who got fame in the mid-70s with his film titled Zanjeer. Over the years he has given several hit films and has become one of the most popular stars of the industry, who has also received self-acclaimed fans over the last few decades.
The biggest and the most versatile actor in the Bollywood town, Amitabh Bachchan turns 76 today. But apparently, the actor will not be celebrating his birthday this year. He took to his Twitter account to thank his fans for their warm and lovely wishes, but unlike any other Bollywood star, Big B will not be having a big party this year.
But the reason will melt your heart at this man’s generous and loving nature. According to one of the leading dailies of the Bollywood industry, Amitabh Bachchan is not celebrating his birthday this time because his daughter Shweta Nanda’s father-in-law Rajan Nanda had passed away. The actor is also saddened by the demise of Raj Kapoor’s wife, Krishan Raj Kapoor.
A source close to the actor said, “Shweta (the Big B’s daughter) lost her father-in-law Rajan Nanda a few months ago, while more recently Shweta’s mom-in-law Ritu Nanda lost her mother, the much-missed Krishna Raj Kapoor. On top of that one of Mr. Bachchan’s favorite co-stars, Rishi Kapoor has left for medical treatment in the US for a very serious ailment.”
Meanwhile, Big B is waiting for his next big flick, Thugs Of Hindostan, to hit the big screens on Diwali this year. The film also stars Amir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Katrina Kaif too. The actor is also shooting for Brahmastra along with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in Bulgaria. The film will be releasing in 2019.
