AS 'SADAK 2' GOES ON FLOOR 'ALIA BHATT' DEDICATES EMOTIONAL MESSAGE TO 'MAHESH BHATT' | GABRUU

There is a series of projects lined up in the kitty of Alia Bhatt. After amusing her fans with her performance in the movie Kalank’ she is all set to start a new journey with the upcoming flick ‘Sadak 2’.

The announcement of the movie was made official sometimes back and recently the actress announced that the film has gone on floors. She shared the picture of the clapper on her social media platform and also shared an emotional message which was dedicated to her father, it was captioned as,

“Today is Day 1 of Sadak 2.
And that's my father, now also my director, holding the clap. 
I begin shoot in a few days and honestly, I’m petrified. 
I feel like a tiny mouse trying to climb a beautiful, immense, emotional mountain. 
I hope I make it to the top and if I fall I hope I’m able to get up again. It’s a tough climb but from everything I’ve seen and everything I’ve heard, I know every single step and misstep will be worth it! 
Here's to movies, family, dreams and starting out on a brand NEW journey! 
And what a journey it’s going to be!!!!”


If we talk about the film, the story of the film is taken forward from the initial installment ‘Sadak’ which was released back in the year 1991 and it starred Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt in the lead roles. ‘Sadak 2’ stars Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. The film is being directed by Mahesh Bhatt.


Earlier, talking about the movie, Alia revealed that Sanjay Dutt is the one who has convinced Mahesh Bhatt to return to the director’s chair. ‘Sadak 2’ is a comeback for Mahesh as a director after his last directed movie ‘Kartoos’ which was released in the year 1999.

This is happening for the very first time that Alia Bhatt will be following her own father’s directions in this movie. The film is expected to hit the screens in March next year.
