Akshay Kumar is living his days and enjoying them completely and why not, when an actor has given back to back superhit films to the audience, one is bound to have the time of his life. Akshay Kumar's next film seems to be very precious for him because he left his family vacation and came back to India to attend this special event which was held at Mumbai. Akshay and the entire team of the film was seen at the press conference where they also launched the first song, of their movie, 'Naino Ne Baandhi'. "Winning a gold is a very huge thing. My son won the black belt in martial arts. We all should work hard. We won more than 18 gold medals in Common Wealth games." On the importance of Hockey in our country Akshay further added: "Apart from cricket, football and hockey too are becoming popular and even the government is supporting these other games now. It's the first game in 1948 in which India got a gold and therefore I wish 'Gold' will give hockey more importance as a sport "
TV's popular Naagin, Mouni Roy will make entry into Bollywood through Gold. Sharing her experience of working with the entire cast, she said, "He is a legend. I am a fan of all of them. Reema ma'am you are the best." To this Akshay also added "How the whole country united is what you should look for in the film."
Director of the film, Reema Kagti was quizzed about the film and it was then that she told the idea from which she got the inspirstion to make Gold. She said, "Ankur Tiwari told me about the hockey gold medal 1948 that's where i got the idea and this is the film I really wanted to do. I don't think anyone can stop a woman to make a sports related film."
Kunal Kapoor, Vineet Kumar Singh, Amit Sadh, Sunny Kaushal will also be seen in the film other than Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy. The film is all set to hit the theatres on 15th August this year.
