They say, Old is Gold. Music makers in India put old wine in new bottle and often the results are simply chartbusting. This year, Honey Singh recreated Hans Raj Hans' Dil Chori and Chhote Chhote Peg for Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and everybody just went crazy with these upbeat numbers. Now, it's the charming Ayushmann Khurrana giving a new lease of life to 'Chan Kitthan'. Remember, we had told you that AYUSHMANN KHURRANA IS SET TO RELEASE HIS NEW SINGLE SOON. Well, the song dropped in today and turned our morning blissful. 'Chan Kitthan' is a new-age rendition of a classic Punjabi ghazal written some time pre-independence. It has been sung by several Indian and Pakistani maestros since then, including Surinder Kaur, Pt. Deenanath Mangeshkar (Lata Mangeshkar's father), Ali Sethi, etc. The first version to get popularity was used in Chaman, a Punjabi movie that released in 1948. In fact, the Surinder Kaur-rendition is still quite popular. Ayushmann Khurrana is a soulful singer. Right from Pani Da Rang to Yahin Hoon Main, the talented man has made our hearts skip a beat with his enchanting voice. 'Chan Kitthan' marks his fourth collaboration with Bhushan Kumar's T-Series label (after Mitti Di Khushboo, Ik Vaari and Yahin Hoon Main) . The song is composed by his friend and go-to music director Rochak Kohli and the revised lyrics have been written by Kumaar. This is what Ayushmann Khurrana shared on his Instagram:
