Ayushmann tripled his Ad fee after the success of AndhaDhun, Badhaai Ho & Article 15

Ayushmann Khurrana’s salary for doing an ad film has become three times after the success of his recent films. According to a new report, the National Award winner for AndhaDhun now charges Rs 3.5 crore for each advertisement.


The advertisement was shot at Malabar Hills bungalow, and is something about the security solutions firm. The reports also mentioned that the actor’s team did not settle for anything less than 3.5 crore, and his previous fee ranged from Rs 90 lakh to Rs 1 crore for each ad. The new advertisement was shot just a few days back and this only means that the actor is going to charge a higher amount for the films that he’ll be doing in the future.

Ayushmann Khurrana has given some of the best performances of his career till date. His films AndhaDhun, Badhaai Ho and Article 15 did superb at the box office, and even have been critically acclaimed. Ayushmann will now be seen in Dream Girl as a cross-dressed adult hotline operator. After this, he will be seen in same sex love story, Shubh Mangal Phirse Savdhaan.

Often praised for his fabulous choice of picking the roles, the actor during an interview talked about his character in Dream Girl. He said None of the mainstream actors have played a role like this, but I love doing tricky stuff though I was scared to wear a saree on the first day. It got easier as we went along though I still don’t know how to drape one. But eventually, it’s all about how you internalise the character and get the body language right.

 After winning a National Award for AndhaDhun, Ayushmann said I am feeling ecstatic. Actually, I am still trying to digest this. It on my bucket list when I came to Mumbai to become an actor.

His forthcoming film Dram Girl has been directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, and other than Ayushmann also stars Nishrat Bharucha, Manjot Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, and Sumona Chakravarti in the pivotal roles.

The film will release on 13th September.
