BADSHAH SHARES CHAPTER ONE FROM 'DO DOONI PANJ' TEASER

We have had enough of wedding movies already. Now is the time when Punjabi cinema needs to bring a change in the storylines and try some different formula. To initiate this change many filmmakers are trying different concepts. One such film which will bring about the required difference in the Pollywood early next year is ‘Do Dooni Panj’.

Amrit Maan and Isha Rikhi will be seen playing the lead roles in the film along with Karamjit Anmol, BN Sharma, Harby Sangha, Nirmal Rishi and Sardar Sohi in pivotal roles. Recently, the first teaser of the film was released on White Hill Music’s official YouTube channel.

The teaser seems like an interesting take on the 'over-qualified' youngsters looking for 'odd employments'. The trailer begins with Amrit Maan seen as an unemployed youngster in the search of a job. Then he goes to Karamjit Anmol who is a sweet shop owner. When the latter asks Amrit Maan about his knowledge (to be a halwai), Maan counts down a list of all the educational degrees he has earned. Well, not to mention, this doesn't win him the job and he is reprimanded by the sweet shop owner, Anmol.

One thing that is evident from this sneak-peek is that it directly makes a remark on the education system of India in a comic way.

Do Dooni Panj’ is produced by India’s biggest rapper Badshah under his banner APRA Films, who has also given music to the film. Rabb Da Radio and Sardar Mohammad fame Harry Bhatti has directed this movie. The story, screenplay, and dialogues are written by Jeeva.

As interesting, the teaser seems it has definitely raised the expectations of audiences. We hope that this film will surely bring the much-needed change and set a benchmark in the Punjabi cinema.

Do Dooni Panj will hit the theatres on 11th January 2019.
