Its not long ago when John Abraham had warned Shahid Kapoor to be careful on the sets of 'Batti Gul Meter Chaalu' as the former was facing some legal troubles during the making of 'Parmanu-The Story of Pokhran'. Well, looks like Shahid Kapoor's upcoming release has still gotten into soup over production issues. Vipul K Rawal, the writer of Akshay Kumar starrer Rustom, has filed a complaint against the makers of Batti Gul Meter Chalu. According to his complaint, he had registered a title 'Roshni' back in the year 2009. Final draft of his story 'Roshni', which allegedly is similar to the Shahid Kapoor starrer, was registered in 2016. In 2017 he had made an agreement with KriArj Entertainment after which the story was narrated to various actors. Finally they found an ideal on screen couple in Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. Vipul stated that the director of the film wanted certain changes in the story and for that he wanted a team of writers who could recreate it. Now the film is making news for yet another controversy with KriArj Entertainment which was the former producer of the film. In a new update the court has Given a clean chit to 'Bhushan Kumar' led T-series. The film unit has already completed its Uttrakhand scedule and after the court's verdict now they have begun shooting for the film and even shared some happy moments from the film. According to the lawsuit the verdict is against Prernaa Arora-Head, KriArj Entertainment. Prernaa told to the court that her company acquires a permanent injuction and declaration in matters of certain rights of T-series. According to recent updates the next hearing in this matter is likely to be held on 5th of July.
