Yes you heard it right! VMC have banned golgappa because of the hygiene purpose. With the beginning of the monsoon, begin the water borne diseases. The civic body of Vadodara said "since there’s a high chance that those pani purisare made in unhygienic conditions, the effect of those diseases can increase ten-fold." Ajay Bhadoo, the newly appointed chairman of VMC said that they checked approximately 80% golgappa stalls and found that this snack was sold in unhygienic way like using of unhygienic ice and non-edible colours. Adding more to this he said, that the decision they made was not in haste and was announced to prevent the disease. Rightly said "Prevention is better that cure." When the inspection was over, the Municipal Corporation of Vadodara said that the raided at least 50 manufacturers of pani puris and threw around 4000kgs of puris, 3500kgs of potatoes and kabuli chana, and 1200ltrs of acidic water. But this happiness is not gone forever, rather will comeback after monsoon.
