Bhansali to bring PM Modi's life to big screen with Mann Bairagi

On the occasion of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi's birthday, Akshay Kumar shared the official poster of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production film, ‘Mann Bairagi’. The film will narrate the life of PM Narendra Modi.

Akshay  Kumar shared the poster and wrote,Happy to present the first look of Sanjay Leela Bhansali & Mahaveer Jain’s special feature, #MannBairagi on the defining moment of our PM's life on his birthday! #HappyBirthdayPMModi

On the poster is a photo of a young man walking through the desert. Donning a shirt paired with a loose pair of trousers and carrying a loosely fit handbag commonly known as jhola in India. The boy shown in the picture is looking intently into the distance with his eyes shining with hope and aspirations.

The film will be a special feature film which would be more like a docu-drama.

However, this not the first time that a film will be made on the life of our PM. Previously, Vivek Oberoi was seen playing the role of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the film titled ‘PM Narendra Modi’.

Even a web-series was made titled ‘Modi: Journey of a Common Man’.

Sanjay Tripathy is the writer-director of this forthcoming film which will be revealing the ‘untold story of Prime Minister which has not been in the public domain so far’. Mahaveer Jain is the co-producer of the film.

Talking about the film, Mahaveer Jain says, Mann Bairagi brings out that defining moment in the journey of our PM which has not been in public knowledge so far. I am sure it will connect and inspire our today’s youth deeply, and that’s what excited us to work on this film.

Bhansali, who is also the producer of the film said that the ‘universal appeal and the message’ in the film is what really appealed him to bankroll the project. During an interview, he said, The story was very well researched, and the turning point of our PM’s life as a young man really intrigued me. I felt that it’s an unheard story which needs to be told.
